The Wild Heart of Europe - Wild Animals on the Move

Book presentation & photo reportage
The wild heart of Europe (Knesebeck, 2021) still beats. In the lecture we go with Christine Sonvilla and Marc Graf (among others National Geographic and UNIVERSUM) on a photographic search for traces of the wilderness potential of our latitudes. We discover "real" forests, get to the bottom of the last untamed rivers and expose how wild the mountain world really is. And then there is the return of the three great predators wolf, bear and lynx. We illuminate the tension between nature conservation and economic interests. The presenters will tell of personal adventures and provide behind-the-scenes insight into wildlife photography. Free admission!
Christine Sonvilla & Marc Graf are internationally awarded photographers, filmmakers, authors and certified biologists who have been working on nature and wildlife reports for many years. From the treeless expanses of Scandinavia to the humid and swampy swamplands of the Florida Everglades to the deserts of Oman, their radius of action extends, always with the goal of inspiring people for nature, its protection and sustainable handling. Since 2015, they have discovered the "nature on their doorstep" and are intensively dedicated to the large predators of Central Europe
