The Magic Flute

The media response to the first production of the well-known Tyrolean actor Gregor Bloéb, who staged the most popular opera par excellence, Mozart's The Magic Flute, in his hometown in the fall of 2021, was extremely positive. "Gregor Bloéb, with his snotty style, has succeeded in creating a Magic Flute that is fun and dazzlingly entertaining. Mozart, also no child of sadness, would have had his joy with it," the Tiroler Tageszeitung read. "With the strong use of acting elements, a pinch of clamor and the shrill stage design, Bloéb [...] fleshed out many an ambiguity of the Mozart classic and offered the best entertainment," wrote the Austria Presse Agentur. The singers as well as the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck, which played "colorful and precise", received great praise from all sides. And so, in the 2022.23 season, the audience will again have the opportunity to experience the intricate paths that Prince Tamino and the bird catcher Papageno must take in order to be able to hold Pamina and Papagena happily in their arms at the end. An operatic pleasure for audiences of all ages, in which one can laugh, cry and marvel, and which ranges musically from folk songs to adrucksful ensemble to demanding arias. How strong is not your magic tone, Because, fair flute, by your playing Even wild animals feel joy. TAMINO
