FRAUEN*KÖRPER

Many expectations are placed on women*. The social roles they take on are often traditional and allow little freedom of choice. Bodies are always commented on and thus quickly become "common property". Socially learned patterns are reflected in the subjective way of looking at things. How do images of women* still shape us today? The exhibition shows archaic-looking figurines made of clay and metal by Susanne Kompast and Heike Cybulski as well as large-format drawings by Julia Bugram that point to the "status quo".
