For centuries, choir and organ have been considered the protagonists of Western church music. The human voice and the organ are not only related in the way they produce sound, but also resemble each other in their enormous richness of tone colour. The so-called "queen" of instruments and the voice, man's very own instrument, still inspire many composers today to write extraordinary sacred works.
