Curator's tour of the exhibition "On the move. Innsbruck becomes a residential city"

In 1420, Duke Friedrich IV acquired two town houses in what is now Innsbruck's old town and moved the sovereign's residence to the city. This brought the court of the sovereign and the state administration to Innsbruck, with significant consequences for the development of the city. Follow the development of the city from the 12th to the 17th century with the help of original documents, starting with the first surviving confirmation of Innsbruck's city rights from 1239, as well as the works of the artists and craftsmen who were drawn to the sovereign's court.
