After the great success of the first single presentation 'Buntstiftarbeiten' we are very pleased to show new works of this series by Innsbruck based artist Martin Pilser.
Martin Pilser impressively demonstrates his uniqueness in technique and artistic position with the current works. The increase in intensity already indicated in previous years is now continued by the artist with undiminished energy. Highest brilliance and luminosity of the colors, as well as the greatest possible precision in the contouring - even with the densest image structure - characterize the new paintings of the years 2020-2023. Martin Pilser's inimitable pictorial language allows the viewer to dive into complex visual worlds. Grown in a working process lasting weeks, Pilser's colored pencil sheets are convincing in their quality and presence. A selection of charming small formats can also be seen in the exhibition.

As an addition to this exhibition, we are showing watercolors and ink drawings by Ernst Pilser (1914-67) in our gallery M2 (Mariahilfstraße 38). The well-known Tyrolean painter and father of Martin Pilser encouraged his artistic interest at an early age and was a pioneering first influence. Ernst Pilser, who unfortunately died too early, is one of the best watercolorists in Tyrol in the period after 1945. This exhibition is open from Saturday, June 3.
