Metal shavings rhythmically moved by sound waves, living mice running through ink, hairs, tears and cuts in paper - graphic design in Ariane Spanier's work is characterised by a free and experimental approach, which can be seen in book and magazine design as well as in posters, music videos, motion design or spatial installations. For her, typography is a playing field with complex levels of meaning and is often central to the award-winning works of the Berlin studio.
