Wajdi Mouawad has written a touching play that astonishes with more than one twist. Just as in his successful playBurns, which was shown at the Tyrolean Landestheater in 2009, the French-Canadian author with Lebanese roots links a complex family story full of guilt and lies to the Middle East conflict. InVögel, it is the grandchildren who have emigrated to the West who have to come to terms with their origins, even though they thought they no longer played any role at all in their lives.
