Festival of Diversity
Once again this year, the Integration Office of the City of Innsbruck invites you to the Festival of Diversity. On Saturday, June 14, the time has come: From 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum (Universitätsstraße 2) opens its doors to welcome visitors in the courtyard and inside the building with a vibrant program of music, culture, and cuisine from around the world.
People from 152 nations live in our city. With the Festival of Diversity, Innsbruck celebrates peaceful coexistence in all its variety. Together, we dive into the richness of cultures, sample international dishes, enjoy the diversity of languages, and listen to music from all over the globe.
A special highlight is the close cooperation between the City of Innsbruck, the Folk Art Museum, and the many community organizations who come together each year to send a strong message for unity and respectful coexistence.
The Festival of Diversity draws around 1,400 visitors annually. It is organized by the Integration Office of the City of Innsbruck in cooperation with the Tyrolean State Museums.
Numerous associations and institutions active in the field of integration take part every year, including: Hindiba, Iranian Cultural Association, Pitanga, Plattform Asyl, ZeMIT (Center for Migration, Integration, and Participation), Welthaus, Omas gegen Rechts (Grannies Against the Right), Queeres Chaos Kollektiv, the Integration Office, and the Equal Treatment Commission.
