November 27, 2024 THREE for All

In this edition of Jazz & Apero, students from the Innsbruck Jazz Department focus on the trio format. A trio is always special, always transparent, always a challenge. Màtyàs Bartha and Stephan Costa serve as hosts and are responsible for the program, placing a special focus on the piano. For the piano, alongside the solo, the trio is the supreme discipline. But other configurations are also possible within the trio. We look forward to a chamber music-style jazz gathering in an intimate setting.

January 29, 2025 KIND OF BLUE - A NEW SHAPE

hosted by Matthieu Bordenave

The ensemble has set itself the goal of working with recordings that have shaped the history of jazz.
In the first semester, we will develop a new interpretation of Miles Davis’s legendary album Kind of Blue.
The focus will be on the various textures and possibilities offered by our expanded lineup.
