KOAN AKKU – Gig Picknick & Concert

The Tyrolean dialect indie rock band ‘KOAN AKKU’ from Vienna is hosting a summer gig with a picnic and EP pre-release concert in the evening at the pavilion of the ‘Vogelweide’ cultural association on the public holiday (Assumption Day). From 4:16 p.m., there will be vegan snacks (bring your own food concept) and drinks from the Vogelweide bar. We will spend the afternoon together on picnic blankets, if you would like to come by in the afternoon. From 7:19 p.m., the whole thing will turn into an open-air concert: – lenamaria will open the evening with soulful dialect pop from Burgenland – Followed by: KOAN AKKU live – the band will present all the songs from their upcoming debut EP ‘Von Flammen ins Licht’ (From Flames to Light) ahead of its release on 26 September 2025. With the advance singles ‘Abkühlen’ and ‘Kaputt geliebt’, which paint a picture of an emotional journey through the elements of fire, water, air and earth, KOAN AKKU is already giving a preview of their debut EP on all popular streaming platforms.
KOAN AKKU combine indie rock, dialect and heart energy. Jo Tilg (vocals) and Laurenz Loidl (guitar) are two generations who came together at the Tyrolean student residence in Vienna. Their music is full of emotion, with distorted guitars meeting three-part hooks and Tyrolean dialect lyrics that tell of a deep soul connection and the turmoil, longing and attempt to let go and make a new start. Non-commercial event & open to all (free admission / donations welcome). The event will be cancelled in case of rain! Feel free to bring your blanket, your vegan picnic & your friends. We'll take care of the drinks, stage, music & atmosphere.
