Next Level Vol. 1 & Vol. 2

For Next Level, our dancers are stepping into the spotlight more than ever before: In two completely different dance evenings (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2), members of our wonderful dance ensemble will showcase their talents for the first time, both as choreographers and as dancers. Supporting young talent is a central concern for us at the Tyrolean State Theater. Because it keeps the arts current and dynamic and ensures their continued existence—especially in the theater, where all generations, from those just starting their careers to retirees, are creatively active under one roof and sit in the audience. In Next Level Vol. 1 and Next Level Vol. 2, you can expect a colorful, varied medley of five short pieces per evening—featuring different choreographic styles, entirely conceived and performed by the dance ensemble.

Important information for the audience:

Even we hadn’t anticipated this enormous response and creative output. When we asked the dancers in our ensemble who would like to contribute a choreography for the planned Next Level dance evening, we ended up with no fewer than ten pieces! Since we wanted to give everyone a chance to present their work but didn’t want to stage a three-hour marathon dance evening, we decided to split the ten pieces by our up-and-coming ensemble choreographers into two evenings, each featuring five pieces. This means that the program includes two completely different evenings: Next Level Vol. 1 and Next Level Vol. 2. So, for example, if you have a subscription to Next Level Vol. 2 and have acquired a taste for it, be sure to also secure a ticket for Next Level Vol. 1.
