About the exhibition:

Paul Flora once called Alfred Kubin a “fisherman over there”. Ernst Reyer's “Drüben”, the scenes and figures of the town of “Emmerquell”, has long been a permanent theme of his exhibitions.

In addition, there were and are changing forms of engagement with the theme of “portraiture”. In the current exhibition at Galerie Thomas Flora, for example, there are also some examples of the group of works “Gesichter zu G. Simenon u. a.”, a series of sheets with no intention of illustration, a feeling of what was created while reading books.
