Auf’tanzt weard – Tyrolean Musicians' Ball 2026
Tyrolean Musicians' Ball 2026 – Brass band music meets folk music
When dance music, brass band tunes, lively parlour music, and brass band music come together, it's time for the Musicians' Ball again! On Ash Friday, the House of Music in Innsbruck opens its doors for a musical celebration of folk and brass band music.
The evening will open with a festive march-in by the Mühlau-Innsbruck town band. Afterwards, the dance music groups around the “Ebbser Kaiserklang” will take over the Great Hall, while folk music in all its facets will be heard in the foyers and the Small Hall.
From 7 p.m., brass musicians welcome guests, and the official program begins at 8 p.m. Then it's time to dance to country dances, Bavarian dances, polkas, and waltzes.
The lead dancers from the Tyrolean Traditional Costume Association provide additional momentum on the dance floor.
A special highlight is the performance by the Höttinger Muller, followed by a midnight jam session with all the musicians.
And here, everyone is encouraged to join in! Guests are welcome to bring their instruments and become part of the musical event.
