After work showing of the current exhibition

Introductory remarks: Arno Ritter (Director of aut), Rainer Köberl (Exhibition Curator)
Othmar Barth (1927–2010) is considered a pioneer in the development of modern architecture in South Tyrol thanks to his extensive body of work, which he began in the late 1950s. With buildings such as the Cusanus Academy in Brixen, the ski school in Stams, the Seehotel Ambach on Lake Kaltern, and the bishop's residence in Pordenone, he set standards for a natural yet highly precise approach to location, landscape, and built structure. However, Barth was not only a formative figure as an architect, but also played a central role for an entire generation of architects through his almost 20 years of teaching at the University of Innsbruck.
The exhibition, conceived by Rainer Köberl and Lukas Schaller, presents fifteen of the architect's buildings, which have remained largely unchanged, using film documentation, supplemented by plans and background information.
