Carillon concert

After the Second World War, a carillon was erected in Innsbruck Cathedral as a memorial to peace. A carillon is called a carillon if it consists of at least 23 bronze bells and has a range of at least two octaves. The Innsbruck Peace Carillon comprises 48 bells with a range of four octaves and weighs more than 4,000 kilograms. This makes it the largest carillon in Austria. It can be played manually and mechanically.

Concert by the pupils of the Municipal Music School Innsbruck.  (Duration approx. 20 minutes)
