Dorothy lives with her dog Toto in Kansas until a tornado transports her to the magical land of Oz. There, Glinda informs her that she can only return home with the assistance of the Wizard of Oz. On her journey, she encounters the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion, who are seeking intelligence, heart, and courage. Together, they confront the wicked witch Elphaba.
