Gabu Heindl is an architect, urban planner, and activist who focuses on public space, public buildings, and the issue of affordable housing. She sees housing as a political and public responsibility—and takes a clear stand against speculative real estate and the ongoing suburbanization caused by single-family homes. Using current projects, she shows how independent housing initiatives can reactivate the legacy of solidarity-based housing and planning concepts today.
