IFFI - International Film Festival Innsbruck 2024

The IFFI is the largest film festival in western Austria and scores with its familiar atmosphere, international focus and sustainable realisation. For six days, the IFFI celebrates film as a global phenomenon in all its facets. In addition to exciting, current films in the competitions, there are also film-historical treasures to be seen in the retrospectives.

With ENTER THE CONTACT ZONE, IFFI #33 thematises the festival as a place of coming together, exchange and togetherness. The motto invites you to immerse yourself in the festival, gather new impressions and discuss them. We will come into contact with films, perspectives and topics that we are not familiar with, but also with the guests and visitors to the festival.

Films from Argentina, Brazil, Ukraine, Iran, Serbia, Greece, Central African Republic, DR Congo, India, Portugal, China, Tanzania, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, etc. will be shown at the festival. In memory of festival founder and long-time director Helmut Groschup, a film selected by his close companions will be shown on each festival day. Some IFFI classics will be included here.
