It is characterized by the use of grid systems, asymmetrical layouts, sans-serif typefaces, and minimalist graphics. Jiri Oplatek of the Basel-based design studio claudiabasel draws heavily on this tradition in his work and is best known for his poster designs for major Swiss cultural institutions.
