INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL. Dance workshop: OLIVIA MITTERHUEMER & FARAH DEEN

Olivia Mitterhuemer and Farah Deen are freelance house dancers, choreographers and founders of the internationally renowned Salzburg street dance festival Flavourama. As part of INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL, they will give a house dance masterclass followed by a talk. After an introduction to the history and cultural roots of house, the focus will be on groove, basic steps and cyphering as a space for improvisation and exchange; a short choreography will complement the training. The following talk will offer insights into the artistic careers of the two, their festival work, international networks and sustainable community practice.
