INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL. Film Screening & Artist Talk: CLEMENS VON WEDEMEYER

Clemens von Wedemeyer (born in Göttingen in 1974, lives and works in Berlin) develops films and media installations that explore the tension between reality and fiction. His works examine power structures in social relationships, history and architecture. For 25 years, his interest in group dynamics, crowds and their visual power has shaped his artistic practice. Solo exhibitions have taken him to MoMA PS1 in New York, the Barbican Art Centre in London, the Kunsthalle Hamburg and the Kunstmuseum Luzern, among others.

As part of INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL, von Wedemeyer will show the films ‘Social Geometry’ (2024) and ‘Surface Composition’ (2024). Afterwards, Chris Clarke, curator of INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL, will talk with the artist.
