Interesting Times - Live.Hör.Spiel

By famous author Sir Terry Pratchett

The Emperor of the Agate Empire is dying, and five noble families are fighting over the succession to the throne. The ruthless Grand Vizier Lord Hong is the favourite and oppresses the people with a perfidious mixture of violence, denunciation, bureaucracy and water buffaloes.

To overthrow him and bring the Agate Empire into the century of the flying fox, the Red Army has been formed, a polite and utterly ineffective young underground organisation. Its members follow a revolutionary text called ‘How I Spent My Holidays’ and to help them achieve victory, the great wizard from the metropolis of Ankh-Morpork is summoned. However, he turns out to be the inept, fearful and completely incompetent long-term student Rincewind.

At the same time, the Grey Horde, a group of well-aged barbarians over 80, attempts to invade the agate capital to commit one last great robbery and steal the richest treasure in the empire.

Ten speakers read, cough, whisper, bawl, roar, cackle, thunder and giggle their way through this revolutionary debacle of succession to the throne.
