International German Ski Championships

From March 25 to 29, 2026, the Starnberg Ski Club will host the International German Championships of the German Ski Association. The downhill, super-G, giant slalom, and slalom competitions for women and men will take place in Axamer Lizum, Tyrol. With over 40 kilometers of slopes and 9 lifts, Axamer Lizum is the largest ski resort just outside Innsbruck. Parallel to the legendary Olympic run, the new Hoadlbahn offers a second attractive direct connection to the Hoadl-Haus panorama restaurant at 2,340 m. Thanks to its high alpine location (1,560 to 2,340 m) and technical snowmaking covering over 90% of the slopes, Axamer Lizum is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in Austria. The award “World's leading ski resort with up to 40 km of slopes” from Skiresort.de – the world's largest test portal for ski resorts – confirms what the locals have known for decades.
