Ceramic exhibition: Biodiversity

TAMMAM HAMMOUD (Syria, Innsbruck), KOSTAS KARAKITSOS (Greece), NANI PUSPASARI (Indonesia, Australia), BORIS ROCE (Croatia), SARAVUT VONGNATE (Thailand), SAKO (Japan, Mexico), THERESA BODNER (Mils, Austria), ELISABETH EHART-DAVIES (Mils, Austria), YARA LETTENBICHLER (Breitenbach, Austria), ELISABETH MELKONYAN (Kolsass, Austria), EUGEN WALSER (Hatting, Austria)

Unique sculptures in various forms with lively and interesting colors, fascinating glazes, inspired by the Japanese model, further developed through the desire to experiment, have been created. Each work of art tells its own special story and is directly related to the theme of the symposium: BIO-DIVERSITY. The diverse shapes and colors of nature have been incorporated into the design of the artworks. They strengthen the connection to the natural environment and thus create an awareness for its protection. Visitors to the exhibition can admire the wonderful raku-fired objects. The international artists have used the elements of earth, water, fire and air to realize their vision of biodiversity. “This was a historic art event in Mils,” is how Dr. Christoph Neuner, an enthusiastic visitor to the event, put it in a nutshell." (Christine Schlechter)
