klang_sprachen: Chamber Orchestra Innstrumenti

klang_sprachen : Subscription concert 7
The interdisciplinary event series klang_sprachen aims to interweave contemporary music and poetry. In June 2025, the successful and innovative project will continue in collaboration with the Tyrolean chamber orchestra InnStrumenti, the poetry festival W:ORTE, ÖGZM (Austrian Society for Contemporary Music), allerArt - Association for the Promotion of Art and Culture and the Vorarlberg State Library, with concerts in Vienna, Innsbruck and Bludenz.
For the 9th edition, texts by the renowned German-Swiss poet, reciter and winner of the 2015 Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, Nora Gomringer, form the starting point.
Five composers were commissioned especially for this evening to create new pieces of music and to relate music and text to each other in a variety of creative ways. The programme includes world premieres by Katharina Blassnigg, Peter Herbert, David Helbock, Viktor Baez and Martin Lichtfuss. The compositions and the texts recited by the poet merge and the boundaries between reading and concert become blurred. It is both or something completely new, because the language is given new perspectives through the new sonic context.
