Composers of our time: Subscription concert 5: Tyrolean Chamber Orchestra Innstrumenti

The concert format Composers of Our Time by the Tyrolean chamber orchestra InnStrumenti, conducted by Gerhard Sammer, is taking place for the 25th time.
Once again, the focus is on music that reflects the spirit of our times, with a strong emphasis on Tyrol: with this in mind, we eagerly await the world premiere of four new orchestral works. This concert builds a special bridge between renowned Tyrolean composers and the younger generation. The performance of “Soirée Tyrolienne” is a tribute to Werner Pirchner on the 25th anniversary of his death. However, the concert will open with a new work by 20-year-old Mailin Hartlieb from Innsbruck, who is composing for InnStrumenti for the first time.
A highlight is sure to be the premiere of a solo concerto by Viola Falb, composed for this occasion for the two young Tyrolean soloists Sophie Trobos (violin) and Rahel Rupprechter (violoncello). With promising premieres by Christoph Pepe Auer and Bernhard Gander, you can look forward to the latest music from two internationally successful Tyrolean composers.
The concert program is complemented by another tribute to the 98-year-old composer Peter Suitner, who lives in Innsbruck.
