listening closely 2026 - Young Stars

The chamber music festival “listening closely” will take place this year from 1 to 10 May 2026 in Wattens, Innsbruck and Schwaz, focusing this time on 20th-century classics and, increasingly, spiritual music. As always, the first concert on 5 May 2026 will be a portrait concert featuring our “Featured Artist”. In 2026, this will be the young South Tyrolean percussionist Hannes Vonmetz (*2004), who will present himself at this concert as a virtuoso on the marimba, snare drum and other instruments, but also as a composer: together with his partner on the piano, Çya Bazzaz, he has written a piece for tambourine and voice that also incorporates hip-hop elements and breakdancing.
