loops of belonging - die stube in mir

What does home mean when it is viewed independently of land and territory? What potential lies in the charged relationship between origin, identity and personal freedom?

The performance ‘loops of belonging’ invites the audience on an emotional journey into a surreal world. The evening unfolds like a dream, winding its way from creaking wooden furniture to a pole dance pole. Walls breathe memories, atmospheres shimmer, images flicker. Here begins a circling, a repeating, a quiet shifting: body, space and memory merge together.

With every movement, the performers inscribe new stories into the skin of the space. Their bodies repeat gestures and traditional elements, stretching them, shifting them, allowing them to fail and re-emerge: the fluid parlour becomes the heart of a flowing identity. With ‘loops of belonging’, OFFTANZ Tirol brings a shimmering dance performance to the stage of BRUX that refuses to define home – instead reinventing it again and again in flickering images. The idea of the traditional parlour is reinterpreted and revolves around a vibrant web of memories, atmospheres and rituals. A resistant, variably repetitive, flowing act that never stands still.
