You won't catch me! Book presentation on Józef Wiśnicki's survival story

Józef Wiśnicki from Częstochowa jumped off the train to Treblinka and thus escaped certain death. With forged papers, he came to the German Reich as a Polish worker
German Reich – to Bludenz. From April 1943, he worked at the Schaub nursery. He survived the last months of the war in the Bregenz police prison and in the Reichenau concentration camp in Innsbruck. In 1946, he married Leokadia Justman in Innsbruck. His memoirs, written in New York in 1997, are now being published for the first time in German translation and with historical notes. This evening provides insight into the historical search for traces.
