The Fritzi Gerber Prize is awarded every three years in memory of gallery founder Prof. Elfriede Gerber, this year for the fourth time. It is an anonymous competition with a prize of €1,200, thanks to the City of Innsbruck and the Province of Tyrol. In addition, the winner will have the opportunity to show his or her work in a solo exhibition at Galerie Nothburga the following year. Especially in times like these, the prize is intended to provide support, encouragement, and promotion. Submissions were requested from artists from Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino.

Twenty finalists were nominated from among the many submissions. An external jury of experts will decide on the awarding of the first prize.
