Tyrol Easter Festival | Powerful?! | Discussion with short readings

How should we deal with the powerful figures of our time? Whether we look east or west, we see a clinging to power at any cost. War and social division are ruthlessly accepted in order to maintain that power, and abuse of power is shamelessly employed. The public is lied to and manipulated, and thus led to support the rulers’ hold on power. More and more often, corrective measures are seemingly effortlessly undermined for this purpose. Are we back in an age of kings and rulers? What does a look back at past centuries reveal to us? Is there anything that can counteract the growing sense of powerlessness? In this discussion, moderated by Günter Kaindlstorfer, Marlene Streeruwitz (Prinzessinnenkunde), Ilija Trojanow (Das Buch der Macht), and political scientist Franz Eder invite us to reflect on the nature of power.
