Positive Futures Festival with PFF Salon and HUUUM
At the PFF Salon, we ask why peripheries are the more interesting places—geographically, socially, temporally, aesthetically. Meanings shift in peripheries. They are zones of unstable mixtures, unsettled and shadowy. What does one want—and should one want—to bring to light from the peripheries? What is better left in semi-darkness? What opportunities do peripheral spaces offer art and, above all, a festival called Positive Futures? Thomas Köck, Brigitte Rath, Renate Plieseis, and Jakob Häusle discuss all of this.
Thomas Köck works at the intersection of text, stage, music, and film. His plays are not self-contained dramas, but interdisciplinary open fields—for exploration, for sound, for irritation. In them, the lines of flight of capitalism, climate catastrophe, class affiliation, and political absurdity overlap.
A collaborative event by Positive Futures Festival and Wissenschaft und Verantwortlichkeit with 20er – Die Tiroler Straßenzeitung.
HUUUM is the live project of Omid Darvish, Rojin Sharafi, and Álvaro Collao León. They combine folk-inspired Iranian songs with free jazz, ambient, and electronica to create a new kind of dance music. Atypical rhythms, microtonality, multilingualism, sensitive improvisation – the intertwining of art forms and cultures. HUUUM stands for synthesis, openness, and non-conformist expressiveness – uncompromising, lively, unstoppable.
