Tyrolean Advent Singing 2025
Tyrolean Advent Singing 2025 – “The Tale of the Devil and the Christ Child”
When traditional melodies and Alpine folk songs meet atmospheric storytelling, the Tyrolean Advent Singing once again becomes a truly special experience during the pre-Christmas season. In 2025, singers and folk musicians from North, East, and South Tyrol will bring musical diversity to the stage – deeply rooted, authentic, and moving.
At the heart of this year’s performance is the scenic play “The Tale of the Devil and the Christ Child” – a story that explores the eternal struggle between light and darkness, good and evil. Especially during the Christmas season, the festival of love, this contrast gains a powerful significance.
Performers include:
Choir of the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol, De Cater/Val Gardena, Mayr-G’song/Söll, Zillertal Horn Ensemble, Weger Family/East Tyrol, 4-Klang/Aurach-Wildschönau
Scenic play by: Helmuth Häusler, Rosalie Margreiter, Ernst Kolar, and the Gruber and Kostner families
Author: Bernhard James Lang
Musical direction: Peter Kostner
Director & set design: Norbert Mladek
