Environment and exercise festival

Innsbruck kicks off spring with full energy! In a joint collaboration between Innsbruck Marketing, Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG (IKB), the provincial police department, the City of Innsbruck's pedestrian and bicycle coordination office, the Tyrol Climate Alliance, and ORF Tirol, everyone is invited to a big environmental and exercise festival on the market square on April 11, 2026 . Following the cleaning of the Inn riverbank, everyone is invited to come together, discover, and enjoy from 10 a.m. The police will present the "SICHER am (E-)Bike" initiative, and there will be fun game stations for younger visitors. ORF Tirol will provide live entertainment on site. Culinary delights will also be available.

The banks of the Inn will be cleaned up to mark the start of spring

IKB is organizing the annual Inn riverbank cleanup again this year. More than 20 clubs and institutions have made it their mission to clear the Inn riverbank of trash and anything else that doesn't belong in nature in designated areas from O-Dorf to Kranebitten on this day.

Focus on cycling – sustainable mobility and safety

Compared to last year, this year's festival will feature several valuable additions to the program and co-organizers. With the "SICHER am (E-)Bike" (Safe on your (e-) bike ) initiative, the police aim to reduce the number of accidents, especially fatal ones. There are a few important things to keep in mind, especially when riding an e-bike off-road. In addition to the bicycle police, there will also be instructors on site to advise anyone interested on proper route planning, the technical details of e-bikes, and the correct riding behavior on mountains and in the city. The motto is: "Healthy up the mountain and healthy back again."

Sporty afternoon at the spring run

True to the name of the event, the afternoon will be really action-packed. This year, we are combining the festival with the spring run, which also starts directly at the market square and is also the finish line for the athletic participants.
