People have always danced – on the streets, on stage, at folk festivals, in ballrooms, in villages and in towns. Starting in Tyrol, Marcel Leemann and Austrian choreographer Simon Mayer explore cross-border dance traditions between the past and the present and ask how our origins move us all in the truest sense of the word. The live music for the evening is led by renowned Innsbruck musician and composer Christof Dienz, who, with his ensemble ‘Die Knödel’, masterfully bridges the musical gap between tradition and contemporary music.
