The building planned by Betina Hanel and Gerhard Manzl was the winning project in an EU-wide architectural competition in 2021. An elongated timber hybrid structure was erected on the site, which is located directly on the busy Südbahnstraße, which follows the course of the road and acts as a noise barrier. During an "on-site" discussion, the architects will give a tour of the guest house, which has created high-quality yet affordable living space for students and visiting researchers.
