World Tourist Guide Day 2026

If you want to rediscover your homeland or experience an exciting and varied day, be sure to mark February 21, 2026, in your calendar. On this day, Tyrolean tour guides invite you to the annual “World Tour Guide Day” event, organized by the association “TaT – Team austriaguides Tirol.”

From 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Tyrolean austriaguides will offer over 60 free guided tours and sightseeing tours. Museum visits that take place as part of the guided tours according to the program are also free of charge. The individual tours last 60 to 90 minutes each.

Whether in Innsbruck, Hall in Tirol, Schwaz, Jenbach, Rattenberg, Kufstein, Kitzbühel, or Reutte, visitors can look forward to enjoyable discovery tours on a wide variety of topics from Tyrol's history, culture, and present day.

As usual, the Tyrolean austriaguides ask for voluntary donations for a good cause. All donations will be forwarded to “Licht ins Dunkel – Soforthilfe Tirol” (Light into Darkness – Emergency Aid Tyrol) without any deductions.

The TaT information stand in front of Innsbruck's city tower serves as a central meeting point for interested parties and is the starting point for most guided tours in Innsbruck.

Detailed information and the complete program will be available from the beginning of February at Innsbruck Information (Burggraben 3), at numerous tourist offices, and online at www.austriaguides.tirol.

Participation in the guided tours is only possible after registration via the website www.austriaguides.tirol or directly on site. The number of participants is limited – registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
