DAVID SCHEID: THE CABARET ARTIST

The end of the world, jokes, and wokeness

In cooperation with Kellerkonzerte Innsbruck

Let's assume the world is coming to an end. Is it okay to laugh about it? Is satire homeopathy for compulsive pessimists who laugh out of desperation? Is our world really in such bad shape, or is it all just hysteria? We can't see into the future, but we can be prepared. So, in the words of the great philosopher Nate Dog: “Hold up, wait. (...) Take a seat. Hope you're ready for the next episode.”

David Scheid reflects on these questions in his new program “The Kabarettist” using his usual tools. Am I really a radical left-wing agitator because I believe in equality for all people? Is my wokeness a danger to future generations, or has someone just shit in my brain? Hopefully the latter. Maybe it's better to pretend nothing's wrong and just get some cheap laughs. By the way, have you heard this one...?
