Guthrie Family Singers

The Guthrie Family Singers are a female trio consisting of Sarah Lee Guthrie, Serena Guthrie and Robin Guthrie-Irion. A dynamic mix of folk, indie, country, gospel and classic girl group, delivered with the kind of natural chemistry that only a family can provide. As the daughter of Arlo Guthrie and granddaughters of the legendary Woody Guthrie, they represent the third and fourth generations of one of America's most iconic musical families, true folk royalty by both lineage and spirit.
Originally from western Massachusetts and now based in Austin, Texas, the trio draws from the deep roots of Woody Guthrie while bringing their modern perspectives to timeless songs and original material. Their music is characterised by sweet melodies, tight harmonies and a deep connection that lends an authentic warmth to every performance. Woody Guthrie was the pioneer of American folk and protest song. The spiritual father of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen and of every singer-songwriter who has tried to change the world with an acoustic guitar and a harmonica. Woody's legacy was also carried on by his son Arlo with his legendary Alice's Restaurant.
