Resonance IBK" by Hannes Strobl, Mike Daliot and Christof Dienz explores the unique acoustics of Innsbruck, where high mountain ranges amplify and resonate the urban sounds of the Inntal motorway. Bassist Strobl, an acoustic urban explorer, understands urban architecture as a ‘sound box’ in which the sound environment itself becomes an instrument. Based on field recordings made simultaneously on both sides of the Inn Valley, pre-produced and live-played elements merge with the live soundscapes of the city in the former St. Bartlma factory hall.
