La diviana armonia - baroque hammered dulcimer music
The salterio is the baroque form of the hammered dulcimer, which was particularly popular in 17th and 18th century Italy. Numerous original instruments in various collections bear witness to this. In recent years, the Upper Austrian musician Franziska Fleischanderl has embarked on an intensive search for original music and archival sources for Salterio and has found what she was looking for. It is not least thanks to her that this instrument has recently been attracting more attention again. Together with Peter Waldner on the positive organ, Fleischanderl devotes herself to the extremely entertaining sonatas by the Roman salterio virtuoso and Vivaldi contemporary Florido Ubaldi, demonstrating her sensual and impressive mastery of salterio playing. The silvery, bright sound of this instrument is highly attractive, and if you listen carefully to Franziska Fleischanderl, you will understand why it was once so popular. Peter Waldner is not only the continuo partner in this concert, but also contributes some treasures and rarities from the Italian Baroque keyboard repertoire on the organ of the Landschaftliche Pfarrkirche Mariahilf.
