Nordkette Wetterleuchten Festival

In July, it’s time once again for festival fans to take to the mountains high above the rooftops of Innsbruck. The occasion is the “Nordkette Wetterleuchten Festival”—Europe’s highest-altitude festival, which, as in previous years, takes place on Innsbruck’s Nordkette. The goal of this unique festival at 2,000 meters is to offer a perfect blend of music, nature, and the romance of a campfire.
The Tale of the "Wetterleuchten Festival"
Once upon a time, not so long ago, someone had an idea: to hang out with friends in a stunning mountain setting, listen to concerts and DJs, camp, party, build campfires, have fun, relax, enjoy breathtaking views, and so much more. This person loved all these things and wanted to bring them all together. He thought long and hard about a solution.
This became the world’s only festival held at an altitude of 2,000 meters. It attracts young people and the young at heart who love electronic music, enjoy nature, and want to experience a magical setting.
He then invited all his friends and celebrated with them every year—and if they haven’t passed away, they’re still partying at the Seegrube near Innsbruck every summer!
