Positive Futures Festival - Rokia Koné & ARK

Rokia Koné, aka the Rose of Bamako, captivates us with her clear and graceful voice, which floats above bass, synths, traditional percussion and Mande guitar grooves. Her music – impressively showcased on her debut album BAMANAN – is a tribute to the Bamara people of southern Mali and the Griot tradition. With astonishing power and authenticity, Koné masterfully guides her voice through emotions, evoking her origins and culture.

ARK is the first joint project by Mona Matbou Riahi, Miriam Adefris and Lukas Kranzelbinder. The trio breaks new ground in sound – bold, multi-layered and full of depth. Between structured improvisations, poetic textures and eruptive passages, an artistic dialogue emerges – intense, curious and willing to take risks. ARK is not a conventional ensemble, but an open field of acoustic discoveries.
