Traditional Procession of St. Nicholas

The traditional procession of St. Nicholas from St. Nicholas Parish Church to the cathedral has taken place every year on 5 December for the past 75 years.
At 5 p.m., the procession sets off from St. Nicholas Parish Church, accompanied by a host of angels and shepherds. To shorten the waiting time in front of the cathedral until St. Nicholas arrives at around 5.45 p.m., the choir of the Innsbruck Music Middle School and the Mariahilf brass band perform Christmas carols. St. Nicholas is welcomed by the bishop.

Organisers: Tyrolean Youth Red Cross, primary school, parish and district of St. Nikolaus Contributors: Hötting Primary School, Ilse Brüll Gasse Secondary School, choir of the Olympic Village Music Middle School, Mariahilf brass band, military band.
